Helping Students Find Resources For Success

Students (both off-campus and on) can request books, laptops, and hotspots. There is a section below detailing how to request each type of item. 

RCC Laptop Checkout

Students with a Blue Cleared Pass can come into the library to check out a laptop for the semestser. Off-campus/non-cleared students, will have the items mailed to you. After requesting it, please send an email to Linda.Sing@rcc.edu to give your mailing address.  Please see the instructions below.

RCC Laptop Checkout Procedure for those unable to come on campus

If you already have access to a computer, we ask that you continue using that computer so that those without access have a chance to borrow a laptop and enroll in RCC online classes, perhaps for their very first time.

  1. Place laptop request in RCC Library OneSearch.

Scroll down and click the Sign-in button on the yellow bar in the middle of the screen.

Sign in using your RCCD email and email password.

Once signed in click the “Request” button. If there is no “Request” button then the item is unavailable.

  1. You will receive an email at your RCC student email confirming your request has been received.
  2. Be sure to email linda.sing@rcc.edu and provide address for laptop to be shipped to. 
  3. After you complete all the above actions, the item will be processed and shipped. 

 

  • Requests are first-come, first-served.  All requests that require mailing must be requested from the library’s website (using the OneSearch box).
  • For technical support after you obtain a laptop, contact the district helpdesk at helpdesk@rccd.edu, (951) 222-8388 

RCC Hotspot Checkout

Online-only students can request hotspots and they will be mailed to you. After requesting it, please send an email to Linda.Sing@rcc.edu to give your mailing address. 

 

RCC Hotspot Checkout Procedure

RCC is happy to announce a limited supply of hotspots for students who need them.

Students can now place requests for RCC hotspots through the library's website and  have them mailed (online-only students). The steps to request a hotspot for pickup are as follows:

  1. Place hotspot request in RCC Library OneSearch.

RCC Book Checkout

  1. Place  request in RCC Library OneSearch.  

Click here to go to the library catalog. 

Type in the title of the book you are looking for. 

Click on title.
