Laptop Requests

RCC Laptop Waitlist

When you borrow a laptop from the RCC Library, remember:

  • It is due at the end of the session and there are no renewals
  • Late fines accrue each day the library is open for overdue items
  • If you lose the laptop or do not return it, a replacement bill will be issued for $1,200
  • Software request: Email the RCC Service Desk ( servicedesk@rcc.edu ) to submit a request for software installation. Requests require the name of your professor, class section number, and the RCCD Asset # and Serial/Service Tag # of the RCC-provided laptop. Once the request is verified, software will be deployed remotely to the laptop. 

Follow these instructions to add yourself to the waitlist:

  1. Place laptop request in RCC Library OneSearch.

Scroll down and click the Sign-in button on the yellow bar in the middle of the screen.

Sign in using your RCCD email and email password.

Once signed in click the “Request” button. If there is no “Request” button then the item is unavailable.

  1. You will receive an email at your RCC student email when the laptop is available to be picked up..
  • For technical support after you obtain a laptop, contact the RCCD Technology Helpdesk or call (951) 222-8388
  • To add software to your laptop, email the RCC Service Desk at servicedesk@rcc.edu. Include in your email what software you'd like to install, the name of your professor, section number of the class you are taking, and the RCCD Asset # and Serial/Service Tag # of the laptop loaned to you.
