Academic Search Premier This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for nearly 4,500 journals, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for 1,000 titles. It offers libraries full text articles for nearly 180 international, and often peer-reviewed journals and reports. Alt HealthWatch provides in-depth coverage across the full spectrum of subject areas covered by complementary and alternative medicine.
America's Newspapers America's Newspapers provides full text articles for more than 790 U.S. newspapers. This archive provides comprehensive coverage of current events (history in the making) and historical events. Each newspaper or wire service provides unique coverage of local and regional news, including specific information about local companies, politics, sports, industries, cultural activities, and the people in the community. Paid advertisements are excluded.
Business Searching Interface Business Source Premier, is the industry’s most used business research database, providing full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed business publications. Business Source Elite provides full text for 1,130 scholarly business journals, including full text for more than 450 peer-reviewed business publications, with information dating back to 1985.
Regional Business News provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications, and incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the U.S.
Both databases are updated on a daily basis.
CINAHL Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature provides indexing for over 1,700 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. The database contains more than 1,000,000 records dating back to 1982. Full text material includes 60 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments, and clinical trials. Also featured are previews of new journal articles before they are available in CINAHL.
CJPI Criminal Justice Periodicals Index Provides information on virtually any criminal justice topic, including corrections, administration, law enforcement, social work, industrial security, drug rehabilitation, and criminal and family law.
Computer Source Provides researchers with the latest information and current trends in high technology. This database offers full text for more than 300 publications and abstracts for nearly 450 publications.
ERIC ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals.
Health Source - Consumer Edition This database provides access to nearly 300 consumer health periodicals, nearly 1,100 heath-related pamphlets; 136 health reference books; more than 4,500 Clinical Reference Systems reports (in English and Spanish); and Merriam-Webster's Medical Desk Dictionary. In addition, this database includes Clinical Pharmacology, which provides access to up-to-date, concise and clinically relevant drug monographs for all U.S. prescription drugs, hard-to-find herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new drugs. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.
Military & Government Collection Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals, academic journals, and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of those sites. The Military & Government Collection provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for nearly 400 titles.
